Lisa Farias, M.S. - Research Associate

Ms. Farias is a Research Associate of The Catalyst Group, LLC (TCG). She currently holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University. She has been involved with Program Evaluation and Research with Dr. Kim and TCG since February, 2001. Ms. Farias graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 1997. After graduation, Ms. Farias worked for several non-profit community organizations and for profit companies on Oahu. Ms. Farias has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in the mental health setting. Her primary interest is in at-risk adolescents. Ms. Farias has also been a residential counselor at several adolescent therapeutic group homes for seven years.

Ms. Farias was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and currently resides in Kapolei with her family. She graduated from the Kamehameha schools and she is a first generation college graduate and the only member in her family to pursue a Master’s Degree. She enjoys volleyball and basketball and has been involved with collegiate sports (UHHilo, Hawaii Pacific University, and Chaminade University) since 1992.
